About CIEE

CIEE is the country’s oldest and largest nonprofit study abroad and intercultural exchange organization.

Since 1947, CIEE has helped thousands of people gain the knowledge and skills necessary to live and work in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world by offering the most comprehensive, relevant, and valuable study and exchange programs available. CIEE believes that our participants learn most effectively abroad when they pursue specific learning goals, and develop the skills to communicate effectively in a culture other than their own. All of our Study Abroad internship programs are built around integrated academic coursework and high-impact co-curriculars, from local networking events to professional development seminars and lectures.

Tulane University serves as CIEE’s School of Record for all CIEE Study Abroad college programs. Tulane University is one of the nation’s premier research universities with highly respected academic programs in many of the fastest-growing academic areas of interest for international study, including architecture, engineering, technology, public health, business, liberal arts, and world languages.
